Roger Swierstra

Chairman of Iridium Risk Services Inc.

Roger is the Chairman of Iridium Risk Services Inc.  He has over 27 years of insurance and risk management experience with a focus on the Energy sector.  Roger began his career in 1991 with a specialty insurer in a business development and account management role. In 1995, he joined Marsh where he ultimately led global service teams on multinational energy, construction and chemical accounts.  In 2005, Roger left Marsh to co-found Iridium.

Roger holds a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Canadian Risk Manager (CRM) designation. He serves as a Director for the Missing Children’s Society of Canada, sits on the Calgary Sponsorship and Membership Committee for the World Petroleum Council, and volunteers for the United Way of Calgary and Area.
