Iridium’s New Ongoing Commitment to the Calgary Drop In Centre

Iridium staff had the opportunity to volunteer at the Drop-In Centre in downtown Calgary, serving lunch to Calgary’s less fortunate population. This amazing facility has offered shelter to 1,100 individuals per night since the first year of operation of the new 107,000 sq. ft. six story building – a level of usage that was not forecast to be reached for ten years.

The Drop-In Centre provides our city’s homeless with three meals a day, as well as two snacks, 365 days a year, and is largely operated via food donations and volunteers who help prep and serve food.

After a successful and humbling afternoon, Iridium has decided to volunteer with the Calgary Drop-In Centre on an ongoing basis.
