Bruce Barton

After graduating from the University of New Brunswick Saint John, Bruce moved to Calgary in 1990 and started his insurance career with a large global insurance company in their commercial auto underwriting team. Nearly five years into his career as an underwriter, Bruce discovered the broker side of the business and has been working as a broker in various capacities ever since. Bruce has focused his 30+ year insurance career on developing his commercial lines expertise and has a broad range of experience working both at the large multi-national broking houses as well as local, boutique firms.

Bruce is currently a Risk Advisor providing risk management and insurance advice and solutions to energy, industrial, technology and cannabis companies. He holds his Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation and is a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB).

We have an expectation at Enerplus for accuracy and timely service. We also require our Broker have legal & policy expertise and the technical resources to enable us to fully manage our portfolio of risk exposures.
